The One Corey

Poor Corey Haim. No matter what the guy tries to do, life seems to reject him. Apparently going from adorable little kid to puffy-faced drug addict makes you a questionable commodity in Hollywood.

Unfortunately, more bad news has hit our favorite self-delusional child star.

Slash Film is reporting that Haim, who has had an ever-so-slight bump in his career thanks to The Two Coreys reality show, will not be included in the Lost Boys direct-to-DVD feature film. They included the official press release, which clearly leaves Haim’s name out of the mix:

BURBANK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Corey Feldman returns to familiar turf in the Warner Premiere event, “Lost Boys 2: The Tribe,” the direct-to-DVD sequel to the 1987 cult hit “The Lost Boys” that also features his fellow Frog Brother, Jamison Newlander, along with Tad Hilgenbrink, Autumn Reeser and Angus Sutherland. The announcement was made today by Diane Nelson, President, Warner Premiere.

What a bummer. For Corey, I mean.

We have been Corey-boosters from the beginning, always trying to be upbeat and positive about one of our greatest living treasures. We breathlessly announced his involvement in this sequel last month, and before that we lovingly doted over his wondrous reality show The Two Coreys back in July.

Now, sadly, it is not to be.

Fortunately, we will always have Haim’s best direct-to-video performance safely displayed in a prominent spot in the entertainment - or is it enterHAIMent? - center of our hearts.

Here is Corey at the tender age of 17, starring in Me, Myself, and I. It was produced solely to quell the swirling rumors of his rampant drug use.

He reminds me so much of KC when he was young … ah, memories …

Of course, to everyone else, he will still be this slurring idiot:

Please…I would never wear the clothes he did.

Poor Corey, he was so sad not to be included at first. Then they felt bad and told him he could be in it, then they just dump the poor guy from the movie.

I hope they feel bad when he’s living in a dumpster in an alley somewhere, shooting up heroin.

@ KC - oh yes you would have, had you been born earlier. You also would have starred in “License
    To Drive.”

@ Eric - Don’t feel sorry for him. He’ll always have Feldman there to mooch from when the times get tough.
