Happy Birthday Dave
Today is David Lee Roth’s birthday. The once energetic, flamboyant, captivating Van Halen front man is 53 years old now. As we have documented here, with the new Van Halen performances, aging has been really tough for poor Dave. He is losing his hair, he is even more crazy and annoying than ever, his voices sounds terrible now, and he can’t do is big kick anymore.
So in honor of Dave’s birthday and the new VH tour, I thought I would give you a few VH related things that would make this tour even better tour.
How about if it was a double reunion tour and Montrose was the opening act. How great would it be? Everynight you would get to see Ronnie Montrose and Sammy Hagar kick ass right before Dave and Eddie get on stage and pretend to get along every night for a couple of hours. I think people would just start walking out about half way through VH’s set once they realize they couldn’t match Montrose. Here is some old Montrose to remind you what they sound like.
This concert would also be much better if it was say, 1984 still and Dave didn’t suck now. Remember this?
Another thing that would make this better is, instead of Eddie and Alex reuniting with Dave, you could have Sammy and Michael Anthony perform with a David Lee Roth impersonator. That would be much better, here’s proof and remember Sammy 60 years old and still rocks.
The last thing that would make this better, would be just having Nerf Herder come out and sing the song Van Halen. It couldn’t be any worse, could it?

Eric, I thought Chris and I told you to never play Nerf Herder song again. Damn you.
I was pretty impressed with that Dave impersonator. I think Sammy - who has gotten FAT - loved the guy as well. I would rather spend $120 a ticket to see THAT than anything on the current VH tour - with the exception of Dave and Eddie fist fighting onstage.
Whatever, You love Nerf Herder.
That guy David Lee Roth guy was great, better than the original.
