K.C.’s Top 5 Music Videos Of All Time
This was an incredibly hard list to narrow down. For me, I have to really like the song to consider it a great video. Otherwise, I’ll probably be turned off immediately by it. Ray and I were talking about great videos like “Losing My Religion” and “Bedtime Story” that are beautifully shot and full of weird emotion. But for me, I just picked the ones that stirred the most emotion in me, whether it was sadness or violence or if the video’s just freaking hot.
Here are my Top 5 Music Videos Of All Time…
5. George Michael - Freedom ‘90
Do I have to say much here? Take the hottest supermodels of any decade as these girls were then, and put them in a dark, sexy, steamy, smokey half-nude video and everybody wins. Let’s not forget that it’s incredibly sexy that they’re the ones singing in the video. When I think of great videos, this one immediately comes to mind.
4. Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Absolutely raw, perverted, sexual, and as Trent believes, divine all that the same time. I posted the edited version for our sensitive visitors. The director’s cut can be viewed here.
3. Bjork - All Is Full Of Love
I know this is on Ray’s list, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say it was in my Top 5. I love how Ray put it that “white and black robots have no business being this sexy and intriguing.” It’s true though. There is so much emotion pouring out of this video, and they’re freaking robots! The song itself is chilling, and the creativity put into this video idea is to be worshipped.
2. Sigur Ros - Glosoli’
For those of you unfamiliar with Sigur Ros, they are an Icelandic band who blend many instruments together to form their strange and beautiful sounds. Sigur Ros frequently uses emotions we tend to forget about in their music and videos. Glosoli, which means ‘Glowing Sun’ in Icelandic, follows a group of adorable, imaginitive children on brief, but fantastic journey. Brilliant.
2.5 Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla
To switch things up, Sigur Ros shows us older folks causing mischief and playing as children do. This is just great fun to watch.
2.51 Sigur Ros - Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa
Sorry, I just had to put this up to. The first time I heard Sigur Ros was watching this video. I’ll let the video explain itself. If you haven’t been able to tell yet, I think that no one makes videos as good as Sigur Ros.
1.) Aha - Take On Me
I had to make this my number 1 pick. It’s the first video I remember transporting me to a different world. What can I say? Since I was a little kid and anyone ever asked ‘What’s your favorite video?’ there was never any hesitation. It helps that it’s one of my favorite 80’s songs.
Honorable mention for the following as well:
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence
Madonna - Secret
Massive Attack - Teardrop

Sigur Ros sucks. End of line.
Did you really say that you have to like a song before you can like the video. Then you put 3 Sigur Ros videos on here.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA. Sigur Ros are fucking terrible. I can’t beleive that you have 3 of their videos on here.
Your other choices were good, but most people will never see them again. After watching those Sigor Ros videos, there has been a large number of people stabbing their own eyes out. I just scene the report on CNN.
I’m going to make this a trifecta. KC Sigur Ros, sucks Ray’s balls.
And that’s pretty damn low, KC.
I can’t believe you three don’t think Sigur Ros is freaking amazing. I guess it’s easy for me to like the videos because i love the music so much.
Well, I hope you enjoyed the rest of my picks, thanks guys! (big f’ing smiley face)
