Life As A Tree
Do you think you could live a normal life if you were half human, half tree?
The Learning Channel has a weekly show called My Shocking Story. The show features people with bizarre ailments and afflictions and shows how they go about their daily lives. The show’s most bizarre story is set to air next week. A 35 year old Indonesian man has a disease that causes tree root-like warts to grow all over his body. His hands and feet are completely covered and look like giant tree roots. He also has them growing other places on his body, including his face. The disease first appeared when he was a teenager. It is unknown what caused the affliction, but I bet it may have been due to a root canal.
As you can imagine, he has a hard time living a day to day life. In order to make a living, he works as a circus freak. This job doesn’t pay alot, but it keeps him from uprooting his family. He is also able to keep busy by attending family reunions, where he is known as the family tree. Can you imagine the wood this guys wakes up with?
A U.S. doctor is now offering to help the man. The doctor thinks he may be able to cure the man, but he’s probably just looking to make himself famous.
