His new version of Halloween will be fouling up theaters on August 31, and the word of mouth has been bad to terrible. I have no doubt the movie is well-filmed and top-notch in most of the technical aspects … well, except for direction and writing, which were positions Zombie mistakenly reserved for himself.

His first two flicks – Night of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects –  showed a man desperate to shock and titillate. While those two projects were moderately successful, Zombie has really touched a nerve by molesting the greatest horror film of the last thirty-five years. Sadly, it will make tons of money, further encouraging Zombie in his misguided efforts.

To piss people off even further, they have released a new trailer for the upcoming “re-imagining.” Take a look:

Yeah, I know … the trailer is pretty well cut together. That doesn’t mean the damn thing’s any good.
