Everyone’s Drinking Chocolate Rain

This dumbass named Tay Zonday – time to change your name, kid – has achieved some level of stardom over the last few weeks with this bizarrely bad original song of his called “Chocolate Rain.” Here it is in all of its glory:

There have been a huge number of parody videos floating around YouTube, and the kid has received tons of comments calling him various creative names. I have no idea what possessed this guy to make this song; one listen makes you want to stab drills in your ears. Somehow, though, the guy has mesmerized everyone.
And now he’s hit the big time.
It seems that Tay’s unique blend of Timmy T synths and negro spirituals has attracted the attention of John Mayer, who showed up on VH1’s Best Week Ever to parody the song. I can’t stand John Mayer, but this is pretty damn funny:

Man, this is stupid. Chocolate Rain. I can’t believe people like this. Chocolate Rain. The next thing you know he will have a record deal. Chocolate Rain. And Jay-Z will be producing it. Chocolate Rain.
Wow, Chocolate Rain. I didn’t realize that John Mayer had a personality. Chocolate Rain. I love the parody. Chocolate Rain.
I hope I never her that song again. Chocolate Rain. O well, Chocolate Rain, at least it’s already out of my head. Chocolate Rain.
I thought the song “Chocolate Rain” was going to be about diarrhea.
