The Ultimate Terror
Today marks the 34th anniversary of possibly the greatest horror movie of all time, The Exorcist. The movie opened in theaters in 1973, on the day after Christmas and the theatrical movie experience shocked and terrified the world.
The origainal trailer was one of the most effective movie trailers ever. It gave you just enough that you wanted more and still scared the shit out of you. Here is the original trailer.
Take That Alicia Silverstone
Aerosmith’s original Greatest Hits album has now sold over 11 million copies. Big Ones, which came out in 1994 and featured the Alicia Silverstone collection has only sold 4 million copies. I guess people are a little smarter than I though. Here are a couple songs from each of those albums. Which version of Aerosmith do you prefer?
Eric’s Top 5 Music Videos Of All Time
There have been alot of great music videos over the years, well not recently, so trying to pick my top five is very hard. Some have had a huge impact on music Smells Like Teen Spirit or Welcome To The Jungle, but neither are great videos. Others like Losing My Religion and Jeremy made an impact for being socially conscious. Some are just bring back cool memories of our childhood. Whatever the reason, music videos used to be a vital part of the music industry. Here are my top 5 picks.
Ray’s Top Five Videos Of All Time
Music videos today are as relevant as my old KC And The Sunshine Band 8-track cassette. This once amazing art form - one that reshaped popular culture occassionally for the better - has degenerated into superfluousness thanks to worthlessly throwaway songwriting and imagination-free direction.
But once, in some other lifetime, music and music videos had something to say. Here are my top five favorite music videos of all time.
Yes!!!!! There Is A God

Jessica Simpson has been in one bad movie after another, but still she want to be concidered a serious actress. So she has decide to do something to make us all take her seriously.
I May Be Blind Before the Night is Over
For those of you that don’t know, tonight is the greatest night in television. The Victoria Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS at 10:00 p.m. eastern. I have already gone out and purchased a new LCD Plasma HD 3D super T.V. so the nipples come right out of the screen and brush across my face. It’s being delivered while my wife is at work.
Party at my house!
Here’s what we can expect tonight.
What Would NPH Do?
Every day we find ourselves in different situations, with different people, in different places, at different times.
While I will probably not see Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, I do believe that it is important for every man, and possibly woman, to ask themselves this important question when faced with difficult decisions…
No Country For Old Men - Chris’ Review

Ray’s review of No Country For Old Men, is exactly right. This is a near perfect film. The performances are career defining. And there is little that the words of even the best reviewers can do to really explain its brilliance. The reason is simple.
Like with all great films, i.e. The Godfather or Citizen Kane, interpretation is individual. If you ask ten people what The Godfather meant to them you may very well get ten different answers. It is a tale off the mafia and how crime leads to more crime. It is the story of a hero’s tragic but inevitable downfall. It is a film about family. The same is certainly true of No Country. In talking with Ray after seeing the film (his second viewing) we both saw different messages in the film and had different ideas about what they might have meant. This is the mark of great filmmaking. Read more

Bow Your Head - Kevin Dubrow RIP
The music world has lost yet another Icon. Quiet Riot front-man Kevin Dubrow was found dead in his Las Vegas on Sunday. The cause of death, of the 52 year old singer has not yet been determined.
Beauty And The Beast
Don’t worry. that picture doesn’t signify the return of the old T.V. show Beauty And The Beast it is just one of this years strangest musical pairings. Led Zeppelin front-man Robert Plant and Bluegrass soprano Allison Krauss have announced that they will tour early next year in support of their album, Raising Sand.
The Seed That Grew Into An Empire
On this day 79 years ago, the Disney empire was born. Walt Disney produced the first animated short feature film with a completely post-produced soundtrack of music, dialogue, and sound effects. This cartoon was called Steamboat Willie and it also gave birth to the worlds most famous cartoon characters, Mickey Mouse.
Great Live Performance
Earlier this year, the Live Earth concert gave us a number of great performances. I thought this one really stuck out as one of the better overall moments of the concert.
The Other Hot Girl
Even though the film adaptation for Phillipa Gregory’s The Other Boleyn Girl looks pretty much like a total chick flick, I have to see it on principle alone. It stars 2 of the hottest actresses of our day, Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson. The best part is that they are pissed at each other in the film! Check out the trailer…
Recognizing The Little People
The writer’s strike continues through its second week, and both sides have only deepened their entrenched ideas about the concept of “fair” treatment.
But it’s nice to see some high-paid celebrity non-writers come out in defense of the little guys.
Lord Of The Three Ring Binder
If you thought Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and its related movies were the stuff of nerd heaven, then what do you make of it when it’s translated into origami?
That’s right … the figures in the above photograph are made of a single piece of paper!
Check out some of the fine detail:
Face Is Much Better Than Rod
Before Rod Stewart was wooing the panties off of fat, unmarried old maids and playing elevator music, he was the hard rocking blues singer for Faces.
When Music Changed Everything
July 13, 1985.
It remains the largest single musical event in history. Twenty hours of music. Over fifty of music’s biggest acts. Three continents. 1.5 billion viewers. To date it has raised over $250 million dollars to save Ethiopia.
And, sadly, it will never happen again.
Rolling Around In Foo
It seems strange that the person who gained the most from the death of Kurt Cobain, was not the person who killed him, COURTNEY LOVE. It was actually Dave Grohl. Had Cobain lived and Nirvana continued, Grohl would have been left buried behind the drum kit with all of his talent trapped inside of just two small drum sticks. After all, drummers are never allowed to write songs.
Garth Is Back And Doing It Right
Garth Brooks is making a comeback of sorts. A new album, a few concerts, a number one song and a shot on the big screen, sort of. His November 12th concert in Kansas City will be simulcast to more than 300 movie theaters nationwide.
