Last month E! revamped the show of one of its best commodities. The Chelsea Handler Show, a sketch and situational comedy was replaced with Chelsea Lately, a more Letterman interview type format.
The move, in my opinion was a mistake. So far it has not played to Handler’s strengths. She is far better as an improvisational comic dealing with real people. Though a decent interviewer the new show lacks the comedy that she is capable of.
E! has never been known for great programming, or any programming for that matter. I believe it had a gem in The Chelsea Handler Show, and made a poor decision to take its star out of her best element.

No comparison in my opinion, and a waste of a pretty talented comic.
E! is still on the air???…huh who knew.
Until now, I had no idea who Chelsea Handler was.
That being said, the first two bits were pretty funny, especially the sexual harassment video…The latter with the interview format was DUMB.
So I guess I agree you Chris. Chelsea Handler should NOT have made this move.
I like both formats for her. She is bright and funny.
