To those who know me at all, I have made no secret about my love for the Bourne franchise. It is what every Spy/CIA/Conspiracy/Action movie aspires to be. Jason Bourne make James Bond look like a cocktail waitress, John McClane look like a meter maid, and Jack Ryan look like Ben Affleck.
The first two films in the series are full of questions. In the third, The Bourne Ultimatum, due August 3, there will be answers. The following is from director Paul Greengrass. Thanks IESB.
The first two films were very good at being powered by questions. ‘Who am I?’ ‘Who killed my girl?’ And the answers that he gets in the first two films are satisfying, but not complete. This third film has got to be about answers. By the end of this film, you’ve got to understand how Jason Bourne became Jason Bourne
These films have been wonderfully directed by Doug Liman and Paul Greengrass. The casting has been awesome as well. From Matt Damon, Chris Cooper, Joan Allen, and now David Strathairn, producers have gotten the best from great actors.
I am definitely looking forward to this one. In the meantime take a look at The Bourne Ultimatum.

HELL YEAH!!! Chris, I can’t wait for this movie. I remember the first time i saw The Bourne Identity. I was hoping for just a decent action movie. When the action started, though, my jaw freaking dropped. This action continued into the 2nd movie as well. Jason Bourne is, so far, pretty much the baddest “agent” character ever portrayed on screen.
This one’s gonna be great.
I agree with both of you. I think this will be the sleeper hit of the summer.
I hate to ruin the ending but rumor has it that at the end of the movie Jason Bourne finds out he is really Ben Afflec.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
(helps if you picture Darth Vader doing it)
And then kills himself.
Chris, just wanted to let you know that this post is currently featured in my “From the brains of the bloggers” spot at the top of my sidebar – a position hotly desired and wished upon by bloggers across the internet (just ask Ray).
